With a rich and varied history of successful projects behind us, we believe that art can unleash the creative potential in all of us, providing a safe arena to:

  • strengthen self-awareness and confidence

  • recognise abilities and talents

  • raise environmental awareness

  • re-establish a sense of community

TRANSFORM THE TRICORN

Our intention is to hold a Summer multimedia arts festival in the Tricorn Shopping courtyard. The building has been a source of debate since its conception in the 1960s and is thus inextricably linked with the history of Portsmouth. Plans to demolish the building are now set to go ahead in late August, and we feel now is the time for the people of Portsmouth to have their final say on this building in a community celebration. We will be organising various art-based projects amongst all sections of the community during a 24 hour arts festival in the Tricorn area itself. We will involve local schools and youth clubs, multi-cultural groups, market traders, local arts organisations and craftspeople, musicians, Portsmouth Social Services the general public and many more. The event is scheduled for July this year, date to be confirmed.
