St. Catherine's Buried Chapel is Andrew Jordan's third collection of poems. Of his recent Ancestral Deaths (Stride) Stephen Wade wrote, in Acumen, "the overall themes carry the collection successfully through the territory of roots, identity and the sense of place . . . images are linked by violence together."

Based on the complex relationships between the Iron-Age fort on St. Catherine's Hill and present-day Winchester, St. Catherine's Buried Chapel shows Andrew Jordan as one of the strongest of our younger poets, with a very particular vision and experience of the closing years of the century.
